August 16th. 2008, Gary Senk & guests

Gary wanted to watch the full moon and the sunset. It was going to be just Gary and I, then Lizzy offered to have her roommate and family join us. So we all got to enjoy the sail. the weather was great and our guests from Massachusetts had a unique experience sailing on Miami's Biscayne Bay.

August 9th, 2008, Anita & Hallvard of Norway

They came all the way from Norway to experience sailing on our beautiful Miami's Biscayne Bay.The wind was up. steady 18-20 Knots. we sailed with the main, Mizzen and staysail. During the trip we had a squale that packed over 30 knots, so we dropped the stay and the mizzen. On the way back we raised them again. Hal is a great sailor, and he helped manage the boat. he actually enjoyed the little storm and admired how the boat was so stable during that blow. August ,6&7, 2008, Geevy Thomas & Family

Geevy Thomas wanted to have the children experience a real outdoor adventure. So he decided to take the family for an over night trip on Miami's Biscayne bay to Boca Cheeta. We left about 10:30 in the morning, the weather was gentle, just enough breeze to get the boat sailing. we sailed all the way to Boca Cheeta. We got there about 4 pm. early enough for every body to enjoy a snorkel. They saw a sea star, lobsters and a big Couda. Young J.W was really excited.. In the morning they were in the water even before breakfast. On our way back it was so still, the bay was like glass and we had to motor. the good news was they were seeing the bottom, like floating over a seaquarium. we also located couple pods of dolphins and we spent considerable time chasing them. every body really enjoyed the dolphins.

July 17th, 2008, Isis and MBCC

My daughter Isis was in town and coincidentally I was at the Miami Beach Chamber breakfast, So I was able to invite a few friends from the Chamber to join us for a spin on Miami's Great Biscayne Bay. Isis invited my grand children, and Michelle and Tali from San Francisco. We were lucky with the weather. It was sunny with gentle breeze.

Teri wanted to watch the fireworks from the middle of our great Miami's Biscayne Bay.
We left the dock about 6 pm, with a pleasant overcast and gentle breeze. we sailed south for a while, then we encountered a large pod of dolphins in the middle of the bay. My guests got excited and requested that we go towards them. It was really a wonderful encounter with these great playful mamals. Every body enjoyed the live wild show. Then the wind shifted and we had to drop the sails and begin our return towards town. We had great displays of fireworks form all directions, particularly Key Biscayne, Virginia Key and Down town Miami. Then on our final leg towards Dinner Key Marina there was such a wonderful close encounter of displays from Coconut Grove. Here is what they wrote in the Ship's Log:

June 21st, 2008, Destination S. Fl, Regatta

GC America Group came to enjoy a regatta at our Great sailing waters of Miami's Biscayne Bay
RA did not get to race, but the race went very well, Serendipity won the race with a Namaste close second and Captain Sir not too far behind. The weather cooperated and fun was had by all
I played host for Heather and Tony the representatives of Destination S. Florida. I took some pictures for them on the boat and of the winning group and the whole group

June 20th, 2008,Swani Cacamo's B Day

Swani was referred to me by captain Jim Sim. She wanted to celebrate her birth day On our great Miami's Biscayne Bay. We had rain the previous few days, but Swni was confident that the weather will be great for her special day. Indeed she was right. we had great weather, for exactly her time on the water. The rain came just as we got back to the marina
