June 17th, 2008, Mettler,Toledo Regatta
They came from France and Switzerland to enjoy a regatta on our Great Miami's Biscayne Bay. Mother nature was initially defiant. The Regatta was almost canceled due to heavy rain and thunder and lightning. Our European guests , to their credit kept postponing the cancellation decision, and suddenly we had great Regatta weather, a bit cloudy with great wind 18 -23 Knots from the south west. We took a broad reach to marker 69, then tacked close hauled all the way back. We could not have asked for better regatta. The crew were Great coming about several times with heavy wind . Every body was happy. On board we had 4 seasoned sailors and 2 virgins, who never sailed before.
Here is what Patricia wrote on behalf of the group:
Dear Captain Asaad
Thanks to you , we have never felt so close to the blue ocean. That was my first experience on the ocean and everything was perfect. Wind, crew & the fantastic sails and tools of this boat. I definitely appreciate it, Thanks on behalf of the whole blue ocean team. Patrica, Max France, Stefan, Cyoll, Stalar Switzerland,
