Home again after 3 days at sea

Linda and her step daughter Sarah, were my guests before for day sails. They are US sail certified sailors and wanted to hone in their skills. What a lucky Captain to have two beautiful, reasonably competent sailors pay him to go cruising for three days, and that is what they did. We left on Monday the 28th. It was a cold front coming in, the wind was on the nose at 30-40 Knots . We were able to go close hauled all the way to Elliott key in about 3 hours. We were making 6-7 nm all the way. We had some anxious moments but the ladies had no fear. We anchored off of Elliott for the night. It was a little choppy all night, again I had no complaints.
On Tuesday, after a leisurely breakfast, we sailed back to Miami. It was a broad reach all the way, couple of tacks. It took us all day to get to No Name harbor. The harbor was crowded, but we managed to squeeze in. That was truly a quiet night. On Wednesday, to make the experience complete we motored to Crandon Park Marina to fuel up. It was very still . By late morning we had some gentle breeze and we sailed up and down the bay, and ended up at Dinner key by 5 pm. What a wonderful three days.
Here is what they wrote:
A three day sail scheduled for both enjoyment and for the purpose of learning. It could not have been more perfect. We had one day rough weather with squalls up to 40 knots, but we learned a lot. The next two days were less treacherous but still allowed beautiful sailing! To top it off, we learned so much more about sailing with a very patient and enjoyable teacher. Thanks Asaad, for a wonderful trip !!

Thank you for a wonderful adventure aboard the RA. Sarah and I learned so much and we really need the experience so we can sail later by ourselves. We need and look forward to many more trips with you, Asaad, before we take out on our own. We also enjoyed the company for two lovely nights in Elliot Key harbor and No Name Harbor. We will see you again Soon
