March 7th, 2010, Earth Save Board

The board of Earth save under the leadership of Jeff Tucker wanted to get together for a short sail aboard the RA on our great Biscayne Bay. It was a beautiful morning. We had great Vegan food brought by all the participants. Here is what Jeff wrote in the ship's log:

March 5th, 2010, Alan Kaplan & friends

Inspite of the cold temperature, the day was sunny and the wind was brisk. we sailed all day towars the keys and tacked back almost all th way close hauled into the wind. less tha a mile fro the channel the wind died and we fired the engine to get home before the sunset. sunset was great and very body had a great time. here is what Tina wrote in the ship's log:

"Asaad, Great sailing as always. I will remember this as the nippiest day. I survived the great chill all because the warm company. Can't wait for the hot summer, Tina . Alan, Trevor and Loris"

February 23rd. 2010, The TNT Regatta

The TNT high powered executives came to Sunny Miami for a team building Regatta on the best Sailing waters of Biscayne Bay. It was gentle Breeze. twelve sailing vessels raced to marker 69 and back. It took us all 3 hours to finish the race. RA fared OK among the 12 boats. We all had a great time. Here is what my crew wrote in the ship's log

February 20th, 2010, Bert Dearmas & Family

Bert and his family came aboard for a sunset cruise aboard the RA on our beautiful Miami's Biscayne Bay.
It was a very beautiful evening, Gentle and cool Breeze . All had a good time. This was not the first time for Burt to come aboard the RA. He came aboard about 10 years Ago.

I joked with him that he should not wait that long for his next trip. Here is what Burt wrote in the Ship's Log:
"To all future Sailors: I came with my wife & son and my brother and his wife and daughter. We had a great time. It was a beautiful sail & captain Asaad was a great host and an excellent sailor. We all loved it and will do it again"

February 14th 2010, Gabriel, Valetin's Day

Gabriel Albdors came with his lovely lady all dressed up in formal wear to enjoy a special sunset sail on Miami's great Biscayne bay. The sunset was indeed beautiful. The wind was gentle, but it was a bit nippy. So I provided them with a warm blanket to keep them warm on the bow.
Here is what Gabriel wrote in the ship's log
"It was a beautiful Sunset. A great voyage. Cold but a great day to go out"

David & Kate Nikolai & Friends

Dave and his lovely wife Kate and Jim and His very special wife Diane the Dolphin whisperer came from Chicago and St Louis to enjoy a sail aboard the good ship RA on our great Biscayne Bay. It was a wonderful afternoon, about 10- 15 Knots of wind, a little chilly for Florida, but they had no problem being from from the North.
Diane had the ability to call the dolphins and sure enough they showed up. I was really impressed. It is indeed very unusual to see them under such wind conditions. We then all went across the street to the Mutiny Hotel for music, food and drinks for a fund raiser for Haiti. Here is what they wrote in the log:

"Our cruise not as romantic as the above, but fabulous anyway. With the Dolphin whisperer we were blessed to see 2 dolphins playing. We also enjoyed a beautiful sunset, conversations with Asaad and good laughs. A wonderful adventure and a great way to end our vacation. Thanks so much, Dave and Kate & Diane and Jim"

January 20th, 2010, Arash&Behnaz Engaged

Arash and Behnaz came all the way from Baltimore Maryland to enjoy our sunshine and get engaged aboard the sailing vessel RA on our great Biscayne Bay, and yes the bay lived up to their expectations for an ideal day for the two lovebirds to sit on the bow of the boat holding hands and sipping campaign to celebrate the occasion.. She did not know what was in store for her until when the sun was about to set, he popped the question. and you showld see how happy she was.
Here is what Arash wrote in the ship's log:

"Arash and Behnaz take a cruise around the bay. After a lovely day enjoying the breeze and watching the sunset, Arash proposes to Behnaz. She is totally surprised, she said YES. We celebrate with kisses and champagne. What a wonderful afternoon".

Elena & the Russians

They were here from Russia, and elena suggested that they enjoy a day sail on our beautiful Biscyan Bay. It was cold. the day started with a gentl breeze, We sailed for a while then the wind died completly. so we motored towards the city. It was a beautiful quiet day and we all had fun
